Apply for a Student Pass through your institution (which acts as your sponsor). Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) participants have additional options. Student passes are handled by the Immigration Department of Malaysia and are typically processed within 4-6 weeks.

Work while studying

International students can work up to 20 hours/week during semester breaks at approved premises. Malaysia is working to introduce broader work rights, so check current regulations. Post-graduation, Malaysia offers a Graduate Employment Pass (2 years) for degree holders.
