Teaching (Early Childhood)

Deakin's Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) is an ACECQA-approved graduate-entry teaching qualification preparing students to teach children from birth to age five, including 60-70 days of supervised professional placement and specialisation options in inquiry, research or trauma-responsive practice. The two-year, Burwood-based program embeds the Berry Street trauma-informed education model into all Deakin initial teaching degrees. Graduates are eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
