The international Master's programme 'Crop Protection' addresses crop health in sustainable crop production systems, a challenge vital to humankind. It is a research- and practice-oriented, interdisciplinary programme taught entirely in English over four semesters (120 ECTS), covering pesticides and their mode of action, integrated pest and disease management, molecular diagnostics and biotechnology, and includes a mandatory six-week internship. Graduates pursue careers in agricultural research, public authorities and regulatory bodies, and the agro-industry.
Above-average BSc (min. 6 semesters / 180 ECTS) in agricultural sciences, biology or a related field, with at least 60 ECTS in plant sciences (incl. 24 ECTS in crop production/breeding/nutrition and at least 10 ECTS in phytomedicine); proof of English proficiency required for non-native speakers.
