For registered medical laboratory scientists to develop specialist skills, applying contemporary theory to current diagnostic-laboratory practice, with a choice of management or specialised-scientist pathway and a research component.

Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) with B grade average or higher at level 7; current registration and a valid practising certificate with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (MSCNZ)
