Deakin's Master of Teaching (Primary) is a two-year, VIT-accredited graduate-entry teaching degree (Deakin code E778) preparing students to teach Prep to Year 6, including 60 days of supervised professional experience and the Deakin Teaching Performance Assessment. Redesigned for 2026 to meet mandated AITSL Graduate Teacher Standards core content, it embeds the Berry Street trauma-informed education model and no longer offers recognition of prior learning for primary teaching units.
