A one-year intensive 180-point programme (vs. the PGDip's 150 points), adding a 30-point research course in the second semester on top of curriculum/education theory coursework and teaching practicums in early childhood or primary/intermediate settings.

Relevant Bachelor's degree, plus Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand English language requirement (presumed same as PGDip: IELTS 7.0 overall, no band below 7.0).
