Civil Engineering, Architecture and Architectural Engineering

The English Engineering Education Program (e3) at Hokkaido University's Graduate School of Engineering is one of the few programs in Japan covering almost all fields of engineering, including architectural and structural design, taught entirely in English. Students take courses, give presentations, and receive research supervision in English within a multicultural cohort of 170+ international students from 30+ countries ('the e3 family'). The master's track requires a minimum of 30 credits of coursework plus a thesis defense over two years.

Bachelor's degree; strong academic record (GPA ≥3.0/4.0 or ≥80% average); English proficiency test score or Medium-of-Instruction certificate; competitive selection via 'Matching Check' + document screening + interview.
